RoadPeace Now Supporting Crash Victims in the Channel Islands​

We’re pleased to share that RoadPeace, the UK’s national charity for road crash victims, is now extending its vital support to those affected by road traffic collisions in the Channel Islands.

For over three decades, RoadPeace has helped bereaved families and those seriously injured by offering practical advice, emotional support, and a voice for justice. Their expansion to Jersey and beyond marks an important milestone, bringing specialist services to a region that previously lacked dedicated support.

Jersey Hosts First TyreSafe Event and Wins 2025 TyreSafe Award​

Last October, Jersey organised the Island’s first TyreSafe Event. The event took place on 7 October at Les Jardins Car Park and on 8 October at Patriotic Street Car Park.

Over the course of two days, free tyre checks were offered to both parked vehicles and to Islanders who drove in specifically for the event.

The event aimed to help Jersey better understand the condition of tyres on the Island’s roads and promote safer driving habits among Islanders, with the help of TAF Tyres, who provided expert tyre maintenance advice during the event.

Jersey’s Collision and Casualty Reduction Plan

The Government of Jersey has released its first Collision and Casualty Reduction Plan, outlining key actions to help lower the number of people seriously injured or killed on the Island’s roads.

This marks the first time Jersey has adopted a formal strategy specifically targeting collision and casualty reduction. The approach brings the Island in line with international best practice seen in countries like Sweden and the Netherlands, where the Safe System Approach has been used successfully to reduce road deaths.
